Barbara Belloni Band presenta il nuovo progetto “Rolling Thunder” un tributo al più grande poeta-cantautore degli USA che ha ispirato e “guidato” intere generazioni di tutto il mondo: Bob Dylan.
Anche in questo caso, come giá per il precedente lavoro su Jim Croce che ha riscosso un ottimo consenso di pubblico e critica anche al di fuori dei confini nazionali, si tratta di una reinterpretazione personale delle sue canzoni.
I brani proposti saranno presi dai vari periodi della vasta discografia del menestrello di Duluth; dal folk degli esordi alla svolta elettrica del festival di Newport e al The Basement Tapes con The Band, dal blues di New Morning al country di Desire e John Wesley Harding fino al rock moderno degli anni 80 e 90 di Infidels e Oh Mercy.
Saranno presentati i grandi pezzi classici, diventati oramai degli standards, proposti dalle più acclamate rock band (Rolling Stones, Guns and Roses, Jimi Hendrix, George Harrison, Norah Jones e non ultimo Francesco de Gregori) unitamente a brani meno conosciuti, ma di sicuro impatto su qualsiasi tipo di pubblico.

The Barbara Belloni Band presents “Rolling Thunder”, a new tribute to one of the most celebrated poet/songwriters in American history – the man who inspired and guided entire generations around the globe: Bob Dylan.
Rolling Thunder finds The Barbara Belloni Band offering a personal interpretation of Dylan’s repertoire. It is an approach which was met with success and acclaim by the broad international audience that witnessed the band’s prior project, “Photographs and Memories”, a tribute to Jim Croce.
The band draws material from various phases of Dylan’s career : from his NYC roots debut, to his famous electric turn the Newport Folk Festival, through the period with the Band at Big Pink – from New Morning blues to the country-and-western tinged Desire and John Wesley Harding – from the Christian Rock period of Saved and Shot of Love, through rock revival on Infidels, Oh Mercy and beyond.
Dylan’s biggest numbers, songs that have been covered by The Rolling Stones, Guns and Roses, Jimi Hendrix, George Harrison, Norah Jones, Eric Clapton Tom Petty and many others are part of the band’s show, along with a selection of obscurities and deep catalogue cuts.
